CareToy System (CT) is a new technological tool, inspired by baby gyms, that allows to provide a tele‐monitored, intensive, individualized, highly flexible, home‐based and family‐centred EI in preterm infants (Clinical Trial.gov NCT01990183) based on the concepts of enriched environment. A RCT study was recently carried out to provide evidences that CT intervention, compared to standard care (SC), is useful to promote neurodevelopment (e.g. motor, perceptual development) in low‐risk preterm infants (Sgandurra et al., 2014) evaluate the effects of CT intervention on neurodevelopmental outcomes (e.g. motor, perceptual and cognitive) in low‐risk preterm infants. The present study aims to evaluate the effects of CareToy intervention on visual development in preterms involved in the RCT study.
