Knowledge Management is today considered by many scholars the next arena for global competition. Product Innovation (PI), in particular, is one of the most promising areas where Knowledge Management is today applied and studied and the cognitive perspective represents the most adequate approach to analyse and understand PI as a continuous learning process rather than as a sporadic event. After presenting a literature review on KM in PI from an historical-evolutive perspective, this chapter focuses on the identification and analysis of the emergent configurations of ICT, managerial and organizational tools supporting Knowledge Management.
