Bolter, Richard Grusin), fino ad abbracciare la recente teoria di mediazione radicale (Richard Grusin). Con una carriera avviata negli anni Ottanta tra input postmoderni e afflati post-femministi, nelle opere monocanale e nei progetti installativi e ambientali, Pipilotti Rist ha fatto della rimediazione un comune denominatore, rileggendo in chiave sperimentale le pratiche televisive e cinematografiche con esiti diversi: reiterpretando linguaggi e funzioni dei media, riformulando il concetto di spazio espositivo, configurando una postura spettatoriale ibrida per opere che si propongono come luoghi di esperienza estetica. Con sensibilità e consapevolezza dei media e delle tecnologie, Pipilotti Rist ne espande virtuosamente i confini, facendo della sua arte un mezzo di rivelazione dei dispositivi, dell’esperienza estetica e del mondo. Bolter, Richard Grusin), to embrace the recent theory of radical mediation (Richard Grusin). With a career started in the 80s between postmodern input and post-feminist afflatus, in her single-channel works as in her installations and environmental projects, Pipilotti Rist has applied the concept of remediation as a common denominator, re-reading with experimental logic the television and cinema practices with different outcomes: by reintepreting the languages and functions of the media, by reformulating the concept of exhibition space, by configuring a hybrid spectator posture in works of art that propose themselves as places of aesthetic experience. With sensitivity and awareness of the media and technologies, Pipilotti Rist virtuously expands the boundaries, making her art a means to reveal devices, the aesthetic experience and the world.
