In this paper a linear model is presented that is suitable to define the stability limits of boiling channels in case of density-wave oscillations. The stability of a single channel and of a multichannel system has been analyzed with the Nyquist criterion. The results of a parametric analysis related to a single channel are shown. Conditions leading to instability in a multichannel system are investigated.

Abstract
