The Collections of Kirill Turovskij’s Library: Materials and First Hypothesis The article presents an inventory of patristic and Byzantine sources of Kirill Turovskij’s homiletics (12th century); it is aimed at identifying the hagiographic- homiletic collections he used. Kirill Turovskij’s sources are verified both in collections chronologically compatible with the time of his life, as well as in ones belonging to later periods. The collected data are interpreted as clues to the existence of certain still unknown collections with Turovskij’s sources. In particular, a hypothesis regarding the existence of three different collections is advanced: the first possibly shares its origins with the Codex Suprasliensis, Codex Clozianus, Zlatostruj, Uspenskij sbornik and Mihanović homiliar; the second has Gregory of Nazianzus sixteen homilies together with the scholia of Nicetas of Heraclea; the third is close in content and origin to later collections, such as Toržestvennik, Zlatoust (and Sobornik). The collections are probably all based on Greek models.
L’articolo offre un inventario delle fonti patristiche e bizantine delle omelie attribuite a Kirill Turovskij (1130-1182, vescovo dal 1169) con l’obiettivo di individuare le collezioni agiografico-omiletiche di cui egli si servì. In particolare si procederà alla verifica della presenza delle fonti della sua omiletica sia nelle collezioni compatibili per datazione con l’epoca in cui egli visse, sia in quelle che tradizionalmente si ritengono appartenenti a epoche successive. Qualora la verifica non produca risultati apprezzabili, i dati raccolti saranno interpretati come prove indiziarie dell’esistenza di una o più ipotetiche collezioni, prive di testimonianze dirette e ancora ignote, che accoglievano, fra le altre, le fonti dell’omiletica cirilliana. Ammessa l’origine greco-bizantina di molte collezioni slave, l’inventario delle fonti sarà valutato anche nel confronto con alcune collezioni greche.
