The present study, aimed at understanding the potential archaeological Piazza degli Aranci, in the historical center of Massa, was conducted as part of the redevelopment and enhancement of the area, as required by law prior to the preventive archaeology. The resulting data allowed the Suprintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Tuscany to express their opinion on the action taken, and to provide the requirements to be followed during the work.
