This article describes the paleopathological study of the osteological remains oa a mature man, identified as the Bishop of Alghero, Eliseo Giordano (1820-1906), discovered in the presbyterial crypt of the cathedral of Alghero (SS). The body was found lying in a supine position on the floor of the crypt, and although some fragments of his ecclesiastical clothing were found, almost nothing of the body was left except the skeleton. Macroscopic and radiological examination revealed a typical case of DISH, a reumatic disease affecting the spine.
