The paper reconstructs the system of sources of law governed by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Russia of 1993, in order to frame the nature and type of regulatory power granted to the organs of executive power. This is in order to verify the coherence between this discipline with the form of state and the form of government of that country, in particular in the light of the historical and political evolution of the system and the characteristics it has assumed in practice.
