The results of two-dimensional Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) numerical simulation of the Adelaide Jet in Hot Coflow (JHC) configuration involving Moderate or Intense Low oxygen Dilution (MILD) combustion are analyzed to investigate the correlation between Heat Release Rate (HRR) and spatial species distribution, with a fuel mixture of CH4 and H2. Correlations show a good agreement for O, OH, OH* concentrations at high HRR values.

Abstract

The results of two-dimensional Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) numerical simulation of the Adelaide Jet in Hot Coflow (JHC) configuration involving Moderate or Intense Low oxygen Dilution (MILD) combustion are analyzed to investigate the correlation between Heat Release Rate (HRR) and spatial species distribution, with a fuel mixture of CH4 and H2. Correlations show a good agreement for O, OH, OH* concentrations at high HRR values.
