Abstract
Niculoso Pisano introduced, in Seville between the end of the fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries, an innovative technique to create ceramic tile paintings (azulejos pintados), an art that came from Andalusia to the Spanish Americas. The extraordinary work can be fully understood only if it is placed within the circularity of men and knowledge and a cultural synthesis between South and Northern Europe: a system in which Niculoso di Francesco, Pisan himself was formed.File in questo prodotto:
