Industry 4.0 and spatial dynamics: reflections on current changes and new production and urban frontiers. The aim is to contribute to a critical reflection on the main spatial trajectories connected to the Industry 4.0 phenomenon. First, the paper tries to identify some keys for the geographical interpretation of the phenomenon and of the current changes. Secondly, through the case study of Pisa, it focuses on emerging areas of innovation and on the dynamics of confinement or diffusion in the urban context.
