The invention relates to a method for monitoring the extent of a solution polymerization reaction by means of a fluorescent probe sensitive to variations in viscosity dissolved viscosity in the reaction mixture, in which process the probe has an AIE (aggregation-induced emission) behaviour and the viscosity trend in the system is quantified by means of one or more photodiode photodetectors, which convert(s) the fluorescence signal into a variation of the electric potential and transmits it for reading and recording without resorting to spectrofluorometers. The method is particularly suitable for monitoring the synthesis of polyurethanes.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for monitoring the extent of a solution polymerization reaction by means of a fluorescent probe sensitive to variations in viscosity dissolved viscosity in the reaction mixture, in which process the probe has an AIE (aggregation-induced emission) behaviour and the viscosity trend in the system is quantified by means of one or more photodiode photodetectors, which convert(s) the fluorescence signal into a variation of the electric potential and transmits it for reading and recording without resorting to spectrofluorometers. The method is particularly suitable for monitoring the synthesis of polyurethanes.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
