The robotics industry is evolving and many restaurants and cafes are employing robots for preparing food and serving their customers. Due to this, new job profiles are emerging and the way humans and robots interact is changing. With the recent pandemic events, robots present an opportunity for both financial benefits and expansion. This chapter provides some cases of restaurants and cafes that employ robots within their organizations. Starting with stories of a few entrepreneurs who decided to invest in robotics, we outline how some companies have built a competitive advantage by investing in visionary projects. The chapter also discusses the sustainability of a technology-based competitive advantage and the effects on labor and workforce.
