A Uniform Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (UTD) soltution is presented for the field scattered by a perfectly conducting (PC) wedge buried in a lossy medium. The field is evaluated in the lossy half-space. Specific attention is devoted to the contribution of the lateral wave shadow boundar. The accuracy of the asymptotic solution is checke thorugh numerical comparisons with reference data obtained by a method of Moments (MoM) solution.
