The hydroponic tomato represents an highly efficient method for obtaining tomato crops with innovative characteristics. Within the food sector the need to evaluate the environmental impacts of individual product references is increasingly highlighted. The objective of this research is to carry out a systematic review that evaluates the impacts of new hydroponic tomato cultivation techniques, analyzing researches that has studied this type of cultivation applying the LCA methodology. To do this, the published literature was examined via a search string on the Scopus database and 9 studies were analyzed. The results of the present review aim to constitute a starting point for future analyzes in the field of hydroponic tomato cultivation by attempting to present, through the analysis, the recent advances in cultivation techniques.

Abstract
The hydroponic tomato represents an highly efficient method for obtaining tomato crops with innovative characteristics. Within the food sector the need to evaluate the environmental impacts of individual product references is increasingly highlighted. The objective of this research is to carry out a systematic review that evaluates the impacts of new hydroponic tomato cultivation techniques, analyzing researches that has studied this type of cultivation applying the LCA methodology. To do this, the published literature was examined via a search string on the Scopus database and 9 studies were analyzed. The results of the present review aim to constitute a starting point for future analyzes in the field of hydroponic tomato cultivation by attempting to present, through the analysis, the recent advances in cultivation techniques.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
