The EU FoodCLIC project aims at fostering the development of integrated and inclusive food policies across Europe. One of its regions of intervention is the Plain of Lucca, where a food policy council was already in place. By encouraging mapping and gapping reports, the co-design of real life interventions and reflexive monitoring, FoodCLIC puts participation and inclusion at the center of its activities. As researchers involved directly in the Living Lab, we reflect on what was put in place involving people on the ground, how this was achieved and the challenges that remain to be tackled.

Abstract

The EU FoodCLIC project aims at fostering the development of integrated and inclusive food policies across Europe. One of its regions of intervention is the Plain of Lucca, where a food policy council was already in place. By encouraging mapping and gapping reports, the co-design of real life interventions and reflexive monitoring, FoodCLIC puts participation and inclusion at the center of its activities. As researchers involved directly in the Living Lab, we reflect on what was put in place involving people on the ground, how this was achieved and the challenges that remain to be tackled.
