In the paper, main features of surface waves excited at the edge of an anisotropic impedance wedge under plane-wave illumination are analysed. In particular, explicit closed-form expressions for the surface-wave propagation vectors are given, which are valid for an arbitrary geometrical and electrical wedge configuration. From the point of view of applications, this allows effective hybrid analytical-numerical methods to be derived, accounting for the presence of surface-wave field contributions excited by the diffraction phenomenon at the edge of the wedge.

Abstract
In the paper, main features of surface waves excited at the edge of an anisotropic impedance wedge under plane-wave illumination are analysed. In particular, explicit closed-form expressions for the surface-wave propagation vectors are given, which are valid for an arbitrary geometrical and electrical wedge configuration. From the point of view of applications, this allows effective hybrid analytical-numerical methods to be derived, accounting for the presence of surface-wave field contributions excited by the diffraction phenomenon at the edge of the wedge.File in questo prodotto:
