The fruit and leaf oils of Hypericum hircinum (Guttiferae, Hypericoideae) from Calabria (Italy) have been studied by GC and GC/MS. The major components identified in each oil were nonane (35.5%, 19.3%), β-pinene (17.3%, 2.6%), α-pinene (8.5%, 0.8%), limonene (12.7%, 2.5%), α-gurjunene (10.7%, 0.3%) and caryophyllene oxide (15.3%, 0.3%).
