The paper presents a preliminary investigation of the use of probability fields in the area of air traffic management. The use of such methods allows the introduction of aircraft variable speed as a variable needed in situations of potential conflict. The problem of perfect symmetry of aircraft is tackled by adding vorticity to the probability field. Early results show promising results even in the presence of different vehicles interacting within a conflict area.

Abstract
The paper presents a preliminary investigation of the use of probability fields in the area of air traffic management. The use of such methods allows the introduction of aircraft variable speed as a variable needed in situations of potential conflict. The problem of perfect symmetry of aircraft is tackled by adding vorticity to the probability field. Early results show promising results even in the presence of different vehicles interacting within a conflict area.File in questo prodotto:
