Abstract

The ESA Technology Research Program (TRP) sponsored a project called Multi-USer and Interference Cancellation (MUSIC) to demonstrate advanced digital signal processing techniques to mitigate CDMA interference, thus increasing the capacity and/or quality of service of a wireless communication network. The low-complexity solution for interference mitigation investigated and developed in the project is particularly suited for being implemented in mobile terminals. This project also demonstrated the possibility to integrate advanced CDMA interference mitigation techniques in a single ASIC device.
