An Augmented Reality-based cooperative environment is being developed within the ACTS MAESTRO project (AC 233). Telepresence and tele-operation functionalities are exploited, in this framework, to assist installation, maintenance or training activities on complex machineries. The shared Augmented Reality-based environment in a MAESTRO session allows each user to interact with a 'Virtual Showroom' containing a prototype for which both real images and synthetic models are merged in an effective way. The architecture of this system implies strict requirements, in terms of QoS, on the underlying network layer; different flows, including real-time broadband streams, must be considered. The MAESTRO network infrastructure and the relative issues about QoS provisioning are presented in this paper.

Abstract
The MAESTRO network infrastructure and the relative issues about QoS provisioning are presented in this paper.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
