The chaotic behaviour for perturbations of infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems was studied. A compressed forced beam and a Sine-Gordon equation was used to model the chaotic behaviour. A non-resonance condition was assumed between the forcing frequency and the frequencies of small oscillations of the beam near the equilibrium.

Abstract
