Two strains, with their crosses, bearing to a grey-rabbit-breed found in Tuscany, were reared under the organic technology ruled by EEc and controlled by AIAB. Cages, with free-access to ground were used for growing. Resultssgowed that the breed is characterised by a low growth rate but it is fitted to open air conditions. Growth performance and slaughtering traits showed diffewrences between strains and between strain and tne cross. The big variability observed in the growth and slaughtering performance can suggest the possibility of the use of the strain for the organic production.
