The following paper proposes an overview of the regulatory framework for green roofs at international, national, regional and local level. Particularly, it analysis UNI 11235: 2015, which provides instructions for the design, execution, control and maintenance of green roofs. Finally, the most important International and National Energy certifications are presented and analyzed.
