The 2015-2017 archaeological campaigns conducted Trench 2 in Area A, at the south-eastern footstep of the main Mound A revealed a complex and continuous stratigraphic sequence of 7 main structural phases dated from the Late Uruk to the beginning of the Early Dynastic I Period. A preliminary analysis of the pottery assemblage recovered revealed interesting data about the evolution and the frequency of the shapes between the Late Uruk, Jemdet Nasr and Early Dynastic I period, showing a strong continuity through changes in the passage from the end of the 4th and the beginning of the 3rd millennium BC.
