Chronic wounds are characterized by defective remodeling of the extracellular matrix and prolonged inflammation. To obtain biochemical and physical information about the wound bed and the surrounding skin different options of non-invasive and objective measurements have been developed. Non-invasive temperature assessment of wound bed and perilesional skin could be a reliable parameter of inflammation and infection.

Abstract
